A Little About Rina!!

            My name is Karina, but most people call me Rina. I’m from Boston, but I live in Chelsea and have for about the past seven years. I’m Hispanic both of my parents were born in Panama, which makes me Panamanian and I love it! Not just for all the great food I get to eat, but because of the culture and traditions. When all family is together we just have the ball.

            I can’t really say I have a lot of interest, but lacrosse is definitely my biggest interest and something that I am extremely passionate about. I’ve been played for about nine years now. I also, coach and youth and junior lacrosse in the spring. In the summer I coach at a lacrosse camp. Even though it can get tiring I love working with kids. Even when lacrosse is no in season I still keep in contact with a lot of my girls.

            As for my goals I want to get my masters degree in Human Services. With that degree I want to work with kids in the counseling field. After I’ve done that for a few years I want to open my own non-profit organization. It would be a sports organization, but instead of just having one sport I would have about three I know lacrosse and basketball would be at least two of them. Also it would only be for kids who live in urban areas and for kids having problems at home. I would use my degrees in human services to counsel the kids having family problems. Those are two of my biggest goals.
